In the morning upon arrival at the Patna airport transfer to the jetty for embarking the ship. En route a photo stop of the Golghar, the 18th century beehive-shaped granary and a visit to the Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurdwara (Sikh Temple) that commemorates the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs in 1666. Welcome onboard followed by late Lunch and Safety Briefing.

Today we begin sailing downstream towards Barh or Simaria (subject to tide conditions) while enjoying lunch onboard. Enjoy an evening walk in the riverside village of Barh or Simaria to see the daily activities of the local people.

We sail full day to Munger enjoying our breakfast and lunch onboard and viewing the riverine countryside. We arrive in Munger by evening.

After breakfast visit the local market walking through the Fort ruins. Return to ship and sail towards Bateshwarsthan.

After breakfast drive in cars to the archaeological site of Vikramshila University and walk around the ruins. It was an important Buddhist center of learning. Later sail towards Samtaghat enjoying breakfast and lunch onboard. We arrive by late evening at Samtaghat.

Enjoying breakfast onboard we sail in the morning to cross the historic Farakka Lock Gate, which was built during the years 1963-75. After crossing the Lock Gate, we cruise through the connecting canal to the Hooghly River, the lower Ganges and continue sail towards Jangipur.

We sail full day towards Murshidabad enjoying breakfast and lunch onboard, arriving by the evening.

After breakfast ride the Toto (e-rickshaw) through the countryside to visit the Katra mosque that has distinctive minarets. Thereafter visit the Hazarduari Palace, which dominates the waterfront. Built in the Greek "Doric" style, the palace has more than a thousand real and false doors in the vast corridors and is filled with colonial-era antiques. Return to the ship for lunch and sail towards the shore-side village of Matiari

Early this morning walk in the village to see and experience the craftsmen at work. These master craftsmen utilize recycled copper to create exquisite pots, platters, and more from their workshops in the village. Return to ship for breakfast and sail onward to Kalna, arriving by the evening.

After breakfast ride e-rickshaws to visit the enchanting Rajbari Temple complex of Kalna. The Nabakailas Temple here contains 108 eight-slope-roofed shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Other temples in the complex feature diverse architecture. Return to the ship and sail onward to Kolkata.

We arrive at the Uttarpara Ferry Ghat by late afternoon. Proceed for a Panoramic Tour of Dalhousie Square’s heritage buildings; St. John's Church and Victoria Memorial (photo stop).
